Fornication In The Church?

[ad_1]

Is there fornication occurring in the church of today? Unfortunately, in many of them, yes. I am not speaking of natural fornication, but spiritual fornication. When the bible speaks of fornication, it is speaking of believing false doctrine. We know this from the book of Revelation. In the book of Revelation, the bible tells us many are drinking of the wine of fornication. This fornication is false doctrine, the doctrine of Mystery Babylon.

What does the doctrine of Mystery Babylon consist of? Her doctrine consists of following the law of God naturally by our own works of righteousness in the flesh. Mystery Babylon represents those who interpret the word of God carnally, or naturally. They try to follow the commandments of God in the flesh by their own works of righteousness. For example, the word of God tells us as Christians not to lie. Those who are fornicating with Mystery Babylon try to follow this by never telling a lie naturally. They do not understand that the law of God is spiritual as written in the book of Romans chapter seven. Therefore, they attempt to follow the commandments of God naturally in the flesh by their own works of righteousness.

What does it mean that the law is spiritual? The law of God consists of spiritual commandments. That is to say, the commandments of God represent something spiritual, something deeper than what appears on the surface. For example as mentioned above, many try to follow the law of God naturally. When the bible tells us not to lie, it is telling us not to deny that Jesus is the Christ, but to believe in him. To be saved, we must come to faith in Jesus Christ. We must trust in him alone for salvation through faith. The bible tells us we are saved by grace through faith, and not of works. However, those who commit fornication with Mystery Babylon believe we must follow the commandments of God naturally to be saved. To give an example, the bible tells us in 1 John 2:22 that a liar is one who denies that Jesus is the Christ. To break the spiritual commandment not to lie, one would have to deny that Jesus is the Christ. Therefore, when we come to faith in Jesus, we are no longer liars. We then keep the commandment of God never to tell a lie spiritually. When one believes in Jesus, they no longer deny that he is Christ.

The bible tells us that many profess to know God, but deny him with works. They profess to know God, but deny him by trying to keep the commandments of God naturally in the flesh by their own works of righteousness. Those who believe Christians must live by certain rules in the flesh are committing fornication with Mystery Babylon. Therefore, we see that many in the organized church of today are committing fornication. By following the law of God naturally in the flesh by their own works of righteousness, they are denying Christ. They are spiritual liars.

The bible tells us to stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. We, as Christians, are no longer in bondage to follow certain rules to live by. We are set free to live our lives without following the rules of mainstream religion. All that is required for salvation is faith in Jesus Christ. Those who insist we must live a certain way in the flesh to please God are committing fornication with the doctrine of Mystery Babylon. So yes, there is fornication in many organized churches today. True Christians will not commit this spiritual fornication. All that are taught of God realize the word of God is spiritual with deeper intended meanings than what appears on the surface. They that are joined to Christ are one spirit and cannot be joined with the harlot, Mystery Babylon. This is found in the book of Corinthians. Here, the bible says shall we take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot. It then tells us God forbid. This is impossible. Mystery Babylon is the great whore that many commit fornication with today, the false church. This false church holds the doctrine that the commandments of God must be followed naturally in the flesh by our own works of righteousness. However, the bible tells us they who are in the flesh cannot please God. Those who try to live holy by their own works of righteousness in the flesh cannot please God. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Let us not commit fornication with Mystery Babylon. Let us realize faith alone in Jesus Christ is required for salvation. Nothing more, nothing less.
