The Easiest Way To Learn How To Meditate – Without Visiting A Monastery Or Living In A Cave!

[ad_1]

Who else wants to learn how to mediate? Do you find the idea of inner peace, tranquility and emotional equilibrium to be a very attractive thought? Are you envious of people who have found their center….are clear headed in crisis and seemingly DON’T sweat the small stuff?

The truth is, the very same balance, harmony and HAPPINESS that you see in them….is simple to seek within yourself.

There is an old Zen proverb…..which has been interpreted, re-stated and elaborated on by many meditation teachers, and BLISS junkies from one side of the globe to the next. It says, and I paraphrase…….that you are already PERFECT. That perfection, or peace is NOT out there…..it is simply your NATURAL state. And when you learn to stop SEEKING that state of bliss, you awaken to the authentic truth that it already is.

Meditation is that perfect state. That amazing balance of beauty, BALANCE and bliss. It wasn’t until I started meditating that I learned it was even possible…and to be honest with you, even finding the WORDS to describe the beautiful benefits of a regular meditative practice is difficult.

The EASIEST way to start mediating?’

Simply stop seeking. Go somewhere quiet, turn off the phone, close your browser window and be still. The best way to start is to simply concentrate on your breathe….the simple, subtle and sweet swell of breathe coming in and out of your body.

It takes a little time to get used to it…and at first, you’ll feel super silly. But as your mind starts to slow down…..your body will start to follow, and you’ll be AWARE of subtle, but noticeable changes in your breathing, in your awareness and in your sense of self.

That’s it……all you need to begin. I like to use a timer…..especially for those just getting started. A mirror can make for an AMAZING tool for learning how to meditate too….but some people find it a bit weird and disconcerting to stare at themselves for too long. (but it facilitates FOCUS, very similar to watching the breath)

The most important thing?

Go do it. You don’t need to be a Zen master…..or a new age junkie to become a beneficiary of the BEAUTIFUL benefits of mediation, I promise you’ll thank me later!
